The OSCE representatives have free access to the LPR storage places to check the weapons withdrawn in accordance with the Minsk Agreements, the LPR head Igor Plotnitsky said while inspecting one of the storage places in Lutuginsky district.
“The OSCE mission has free access here. We have nothing to hide, we work openly. The OSCE representatives come here, control, and check the serial numbers of tanks,” – Igor Plotnitsky said.
On October 20, the LPR people’s militia completed the second stage of withdrawal of weaponry. The first stage was completed on October 15.
On September 30, the LPR head Igor Plotnitsky signed the supplement to the complex of measures for the Minsk agreements of February 2, 2015 in the part concerning the withdrawal of tanks, artillery of less than 100-mm caliber and mortars of less than 120-mm caliber.
On September 29, participants of the Contact Group and a working sub-group on security initiated an agreement on the withdrawal of weaponry with caliber under 100-mm and tanks to a distance of 15 kilometers from the separation line. According to it, the withdrawal will be carried out in two stages. Tanks will be pulled out first, followed by artillery of less than 100-mm caliber and mortars of less than 120-mm caliber. The first stage will start on the territory of the Lugansk People’s Republic two days after a full ceasefire regime has been established and will last 15 days. The second stage will last 24 days. The entire process will take 41 days.
