Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to French President François Hollande in connection with loss of life in a car accident near the town of Libourne in south-west France, said the Kremlin press service.

 

The Russian leader conveyed the sympathy and support to  families and friends of those killed and wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured, noted the Kremlin press service. 

 

The two vehicles collided head-on near the village of Puisseguin north of Bordeaux, as a result both vehicles were caught in fire. At least 42 were killed.
