Today, on October 21, in Odesa began a rally in support of the «freeport» establishment in the Odessa region.

Participants of the rally are going to go to Kiev to the building of the Presidential Administration and call Poroshenko to consider a petition in support of the «freeport».

The organizer of the rally, the leader of the public movement «Odessa — for freeport» Alexey Tsvetkov said:

«We now are going to Kiev to get a response from the President of Ukraine. Everyone hopes that we will receive Poroshenko’s support. The current crisis in the country calls for a real redistribution of powers between the regions and the center. I think that Odesa has to regain its historical status of a freeport».

Tsvetkov noted that in February this year, activists of the public movement «Odesa — for freeport» collected more than 40 thousand signatures in support of the «Freeport» establishment.

«The whole range of our initiatives shall allow the creation in Odesa such administrative regime which allow our city to grow more confident. Freeport is the future of Odesa».

Earlier, the author of the petition, Ukrainian MP Sergey Kivalov urged the Ukrainian president to respond to Odesa residents’ initiative to support «freeport».
