Syria says it has received sophisticated new arms from Russia and has deployed them against the ISIL takfiri terrorists.

Military officials say the arms including at least 5 warplanes arrived at a military base in Latakia province on Friday. The shipment also includes reconnaissance aircraft as well as sophisticated military equipment capable of accurately identifying targets. The new weapons have already been deployed to stage attacks against Daesh terrorists in Dayr al-Zawr and Raqqah. Western countries have criticized Russia for sending arms to Syria but Moscow says its military support is aimed at fighting terrorism and preventing a total catastrophe in Syria.
