Prague – Czech President Milos Zeman has stated the personally he does not recognize the independence of Kosovo, hence not sending an ambassador to Pristina.




Zeman has reiterated his stance that Kosovo is ruled by a mafia regime financed by the trafficking in narcotics, and that the Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Hashim Thaci is a war criminal.


The Czech President has said he does not think the recognition of Kosovo ought to be the prerequisite for the admission of Serbia to the EU. Five of the EU members – Slovakia, Spain, Greece, Romania and Cyprus – do not recognize Kosovo, Zeman reminded in an interview to the “Vecernje Novosti” daily.


He has assessed that the precedent of Kosovo had opened the Pandora box and commenced the process of redrawing the state borders all around the world.
