UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon expressed his willingness to increase organisation’s presence in the east of the Ukraine. This UN Secretary General stated during a meeting with a Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin, reports the press service of Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.


«UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon pledged the full support of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine and expressed readiness to increase the presence of the Organization to de-escalate and stabilize the situation in the east of Ukraine», — said the report.


The Minister briefed the Secretary General on the negotiations progress that took place in the framework of the «Norman format», Tripartite Liaison Group as well as the current status of Minsk agreements implementation and the preparations for the local elections in accordance with international standards.
