Oleg Tyagnibok, leader of Ukrainian party «All-Ukrainian Union «Svoboda» sued Interior Minister Arsen Avakov for defamation in connection with allegations of involvement in the events at the Ukrainian parliament on August, 31.
«Today I’m signing a petition to the Kiev Court on defamation and denial of inadequate information and protection of reputation in connection with the statements of Minister of Internal Affairs Avakov», — said Tyagnibok on September, 8, before the interrogation in the Main Investigation Department of the Interior Ministry.
The «Svoboda» leader accused the head of Ukrainian Interior Ministry in the usage of Stalinist methods.
«I have already announced that the guilty are not only individuals, but also the whole political force. And it was very peculiar to the Soviet, Stalin’s era and Nazi Germany, this is not a European practice of doing justice», — said Tyagnibok.
In addition, Oleg Tyagnibok said that the blame for the consequences of events under the Verkhovna Rada is on the current government and called the Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk «unfinished Beria».
